Violations

Logged in a minute, on the record for good

Log a violation against a property in under a minute, attach the photo you just took, and let the notice email itself to the homeowner. Everything stays on the record where the next board can find it.

A list of community violations with categories, status and dates

Your categories, your rules

Set up violation categories that match your covenants — trash cans, parking, landscaping, exterior paint — so reporting is a dropdown, not an essay.

Photos attached

Attach photos and documents directly to the violation. The evidence lives with the record instead of in somebody’s camera roll.

Notices send themselves

Residents of the property are notified by email when a violation is filed, so no one on the board has to draft and mail a letter.

A conversation, not a decree

Homeowners and board members can comment on a violation, so questions and cure attempts are recorded in one thread.

The record survives the board turnover

Violations are filed against a property, not a person, and they stay there. When the house sells, when the board changes, when a homeowner disputes a repeat notice two years later — the history is intact and numbered.

  • Every violation is numbered per community
  • Filed against the property, with residents linked automatically
  • Open and resolved states, so "what is still outstanding" is one filter
  • Comment thread on every violation for context and cure attempts

Common questions

Something not covered here? Email support@hoagrove.com and a person will answer.

Do homeowners see their own violations?

Yes. Residents of the property see the violation in their portal, along with any attached photos and the comment thread.

Can we file a violation without notifying anyone?

Violations are designed to notify the residents of the property so the record and the notice stay in sync. If you need an internal-only note, a comment on the record is the better fit.

Is there a fine or escalation workflow?

No. HOA Grove records the violation, its evidence, the discussion and its resolution. It does not calculate or bill fines — if your covenants allow them, your board assesses them under its existing process. It is the most-requested addition we have, and it is not built yet.
